ROCKFORD MIDDLE SCHOOL CHEERLEADING
The Rockford Community Services program will once again offer a middle school cheerleading program to 7th & 8th grade students. The program will run from August to October, consisting of weekly practices and cheering at 78er home games.
A registration and informational meeting for both parents and cheerleaders is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2ndat 7:00 p.m. in the North Rockford Middle School cafeteria.Cost for the program will be $50.00 (payable to Rockford Public Schools) as part of the “pay-to-participate” fees. There will be an additional fee for uniform and clothing.
Prior to the school year, a few Tuesday / Thursday evening practices and one cheer camp will be held. The cheer camp will take place Wednesday, August 24th 2016 from 9AM to 4PM at NRMS. A detailed practice schedule will be given at the information meeting. Both middle school cheer teams will practice together at NRMS for sideline cheerleading.
Physicals are required and you may get one from your family physician. Pick up a school physical card at the Community Education office or the Middle School office, to take to your physical for the doctor to fill out. Any physical performed after April 2016 may be used for the upcoming school year.
